I went with Carlie, Rebecca and Grace to do some Indian shopping last week. As I did research on Indian fashion, I’ve only come to discover that if a strange chance of events empowered me with the authority to construct American fashion completly from scratch then I would use Indian women’s fashion as my main inspiration. However, no offense, but if I did the same for men, I feel like they would feel short changed. For men’s fashion I suppose I’d choose another culture… let me continue to think on that a bit.
Indian clothing is exquisite. I adore it: the colors, the embroidery, the silhouettes. It oozes with femininity and creativity. It represents Indian culture as a whole. It is vibrant, complex and startlingly beautiful.
